The track is a theme that is recurring The Volga Boatmen, Cecil B. DeMille’s very first individually produced, small-scale epic movie in regards to the Russian Revolution. DeMille saw the boatmen as “the human being mules of Russia”— the abused peasants of an aristocratic state.
